- Red and the team are trying to work out who poisoned him. While at Martin's house confronting him Liz calls and gives Red the information he needs to work out who did it.

I’ve never seen this show, but every clip on RUclips, Red always has the upper hand, seems to be omniscient, and always wins.

Not gonna lie, they had me there for a second when they made it seem like Dembe, of all people, has betrayed Red which is utter nonsense.
well red did just gun down a long term friend and associate for one arguable mistake. you'd be an utter fool to believe you'd fair better. it would make sense if dembe wanted out and didnt think red would let him go. dembe after all had a family he should have been with. he also had warned liz the he thought red was going crazy.
Just so everyone is not UPSET SPOILER ALERT its dembe but he admitted later in the episode he just gave him a glass of the liquor he never poisoned him so whoever poisoned the bottle before he got it is a real culprit they don't show it in this scene just a warning

One of the things that grates with red is that for all his sophistication and propriety he couldn't pronounce Islay correctly when he asked for a bottle of malt whisky in one of the earlier seasons.
Is that canon or just a joke 😮

@@FactsDontCare1 Islay is not a hard to say word, s and y are silent something a simple google search would tell anyone. As I said I think that red would have known how to say it properly since he was asking for a malt whisky and by expressing a preference had obviously tasted a fair number.

It’s funny - some did not like Elizabeth Keen. I hated her relationship with her ex/ current husband but loved Elizabeth
While the Elizabeth/Red relation started to get old - there’s was a fire and ice relationship; few shows can pull it off for so long
Unfortunately they dangled their relationship in front of us for too long; yet long enough to know Elizabeth’s relationship had such an impact - it’s echoes throughout
What was annoying about Elizabeth was that she had a pattern, season to season. She got along marvellously with Reddington for a quarter of every season and would then go back to distrusting him for the remainder of that year. Then rinse and repeat. I always saw her as a petulant teenager, actually. I'm currently re-watching the series and I'm at season 6. I haven't seen all of 8 and 9 yet, but I know she never breaks her pattern.

@@thatbluepowder I found her difficult to like as well... But to be fair, Elizabeth was in a very difficult position -- and it was Reddington who, for his own reasons which he wouldn't disclose (and which she couldn't take on faith), put her in that position.
@@bernardkung7306 So it was Reddington's fault for being unable to tell her secrets that could have gotten her and him killed? His fault for sparing her from the guilt of murdering her own father? I mean, the sacrifices Red took just to become Reddington alone are unimaginable and impossible for everyone else, but she was just entitled to know?
Every season featured a betrayal from her. Had they pivoted away from her and her back story after season two or three, then her death and departure wouldn't have compromised the show so much.
I'm rewatching the show, but I had to stop at season three, since knowing what Liz would do next started to bum me out.
Is this episode where Reddington regrets beating his lawyer and ended up giving his palaces as an apology.
I don't think he gave his palace maybe money but a palace, who is crazy to do so ??
@@abdihalim7788 no he did, because he tortured Marvin to get some information, and Marvin ended up being the good guy, so Red gave his castle as an apology and whoever owns the keys to it gets access to all the maids/security and the entire palace.

@@SharkFishSFDon't think he did. Later on in the season, he offered the palace to Kate Kaplan as a way out of their conflict. This scene comes way before that part.

When started going downhill? I stopped mid S2 because I couldn't handle the drama between Liz and her husband. So I don't know if I should skip some episodes or seasons. Because I only watch for Red.
@@DaviHorner red is scattered throughout all episodes, and pretty much all episodes are crucial to the story, so i would say dont skip any.

I’ve watched 3 episodes of season 9… just without Liz it’s not the same. It sucks. I love Red and the other actors but she was important from the beginning and on.

I agree, although I don't think it's because of the Liz character. The entire show was built around Red, his secret life, and the search for the truth. These new episodes feel like the filler episodes that they used to throw in between the ones that furthered the story.
The first time I saw this scene, i knew that Dembe didn't intentionally try to poison Raymond.
Coincidence: I just watched Columbo as he got Alex Brady. Man, was I irritated when I saw Marvin here!
