 The official website of the Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force) television anime series announced on Tuesday that a third season, subtitled San no Shou, is in production. The anime series adapts Atsushi Ookubo's action sci-fi manga, which began its serialization in Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2015 and ended in February 22. Kodansha published the 34th and final volume on May 17. Enen no Shouboutai has a cumulative 20 million copies of its volumes in circulation. David Production produced the previous two seasons of 24 episodes each, premiering in Summer 2019 and Summer 2020. Crunchyroll simulcast the show with subtitles, while Funimation streamed an English dub. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in 2016 and published the 26th volume on March 22. The 27th volume has a scheduled release date of July 5. Enen no Shouboutai was nominated for the 41st Kodansha Manga Awards in the Shounen category in 2017. The series also announced that it will receive an original video game titled Enen no Shouboutai: Enbu no Shou. | Wonderful news. Hopefully it gets a full adaptation. What's left from the manga is easily the best part of the story, and it deserves a quality, non-rushed adaptation. |

| Enjoying the series but hoping they take the power ups a bit more seriously. The last episode of last season was a complete joke. |
| If s3 is two cour like previous seasons and they adapt the entire manga, then it'll be rushed since there's still 130 chapters left to adapt. So we might get s4 with 10-12 episodes or if this follows recent trend then s3 + a movie seems reasonable too. |

| Not exactly my fav Shounen Battle Action show, but a sequel is definitely welcome! Season 2 built on the mystery aspects from the prequel decently and I'm looking forward to the answers of them soon. |
