Deleted page: Sheila Nortley

Hi,

You recently deleted my page for "Misuse of Wikipedia as a web host" but this was not the case, I was re-creating a page that was previously deleted due to copyrighted content and was putting the information into my own words. I had not finished the page, saved it, went away for half an hour and came back and it was deleted.

Please could you restore the page so that I can continue working on it again.

Thank you.

File:BSSOVD-band.jpg etc.

Hi - sorry, I hadn't noticed the OTRS hadn't gone through on these correctly. I did tell the copyright holder what to send to OTRS, but they clearly didn't do it correctly. Can you let me know what are missing (I can't see the ticket) so they can do it properly this time? Thanks. Black Kite (talk) 20:59, 16 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Black Kite. A person depicted in these photos sent an email to OTRS and did not provide a license statement. It is also unclear if the person depicted actually owns the copyright to the photos. If this was work-for-hire then documents/proof of that should be provided. Otherwise, the actual photographer/copyright holder needs to email OTRS with a license statement. Yeah, I thought so. It's actually the wife of one of the band that took the photos (as are pretty much all of the photos on their website, apart from the ones I took!), I'll ask her to send it again with the license statement. Black Kite (talk) 00:20, 17 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Images were deleted without explaination, after pointing to the source of the public image

File:XboxAvatarColorizingHair.jpg File:XboxAvatarBrowsingStore.jpg File:XboxOriginalAvatar.jpg File:Xbox Avatars Changing Hair.png File:Xbox Avatars Store.png File:Xbox Avatars Take A Photo.png

These images all exist as promotional materials and are screenshots of the actual feature in use; they were all tagged accordingly. If external links were allowed, I would point to these images but they are not. PLease share the magic combination of how to share screenshots of publically available work, since following the instructions on the upload/media service pages doesn't seem to work.

Hi Randyrants. See Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2019 April 3#Xbox avatar files. If you still disagree, try WP:DRV. -FASTILY 09:59, 18 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
